As a proud Gujarati, business and entrepreneurship have always been in my DNA. My journey began in Vadodara, Gujarat, where I entered the
cable and entertainment industry, installing TV cable connections for a local company that was later acquired by the Hinduja Group (InCable).
This hands-on experience sparked my curiosity for IT and networking, leading me to transition into the ISP sector with In2Cable,India becoming
the first from my team to make this shift.

In 2001, I moved to Mumbai—an experience marked by both professional challenges and personal hurdles. Living in shared accommodations,
managing long commutes, and dealing with limited resources tested my resilience. However, with persistence and a strong belief in the value of
hard work, I quickly progressed. Within two years, I was promoted to Senior System Engineer, entrusted with leading the Ahmedabad
Network Operations Center (NOC). My role extended across key cities like Vadodara and Surat, where I traveled extensively to resolve
complex networking issues, further sharpening my technical expertise and leadership capabilities over the course of seven years.

In 2007, I moved to the UK with my wife and i have joined TimePlay Interactive Entertainment & IT Action Ltd as a Network Engineer.
Supporting clients across industries especially Hospitality—sparked a long-held dream: to one day own and operate my own business in the
sector. That dream became a reality in 2014 when I acquired my first Hotel, Restaurant, and Bar, marking a major milestone in my transition
from IT to hospitality entrepreneurship. Soon after, we took on the management of the Best Western Hotel in Kent—a prominent seaside
property known for its picturesque location and historical charm. This role allowed me to fully immerse myself in the hospitality industry, where I
was responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations.

Over time, I transformed the property into a more efficient, guest-centric operation—improving customer satisfaction scores, increasing repeat
business, and achieving strong financial performance. Managing a brand-affiliated hotel also gave me valuable insights into franchising, brand
compliance, audit readiness, and industry benchmarking. This hands-on experience across hotel operations, leadership, finance,
technology, and guest services laid the foundation for my future success in hospitality. It gave me the confidence and capability to expand
into owning and operating a couple of profitable pubs, restaurants, and catering ventures that running efficiently without daily oversight.
Over the past 12 years, I’ve built a strong reputation in Kent, Surrey & Buckinghamshire, catering for high-profile events including:

My journey from ISP engineer to hospitality entrepreneur has been fueled by persistence, adaptability, and a lifelong commitment
to continuous learning. At every stage, I’ve embraced challenges as opportunities to grow—whether solving complex technical issues or
creating seamless, high-touch guest experiences. Today, I remain passionate about the intersection of technology and hospitality, and I
actively seek out innovative ways to integrate the two in order to streamline operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and build
scalable, service-driven businesses.

About

My responsibilities included:
⚫Day-to-day hotel operations: Ensuring smooth functioning across departments including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage,
and maintenance.
⚫Staff recruitment and management: Building and leading a high-performing, customer-focused team; implementing training programs
and performance standards to improve service quality and team morale.
⚫Financial management: Handling budgeting, payroll, vendor negotiations, cost control, and profitability analysis to ensure financial
sustainability and growth.
⚫Guest experience: Designing and refining service processes to elevate guest satisfaction, online reviews, and customer retention.

⚫Culinary development: Collaborating with chefs and kitchen teams to create diverse and high-quality menus, streamline kitchen
operations, and improve food cost efficiency.
⚫Technology integration: Leveraging my IT background to implement systems for property management (PMS), POS, CRM, and
digital marketing, helping to modernize and optimize operational workflows.
⚫Compliance and standards: Ensuring adherence to Best Western brand standards, as well as local health, safety, and licensing
regulations.
